Video Game Rentals - Five Reasons for Renting Games Online

The concept of online game rentals was inspired by the success of online DVD rentals. Rising entrepreneurs have realized its potential and decided to give it a go.

It started out slow but eventually, majority of their target market realized its advantages over buying a game. Renting games online is fast becoming the number 1 option for gamers. More and more people choose to rent games online than buy one.

If you have never tried renting games online, you probably want to know how it works. You just go to a game rental website, sign up for a subscription, and that’s it! You can start browsing the game library and pick out the ones you like. They will ship the game to you right away and you will receive it between 48-96 hours.

Whenever you are ready to return the game, all you have to do is to put it in their prepaid return envelope and mail it. Easy as pie!
Aside from the no-sweat subscription process, there are other reasons why we should be renting games online.

- Options

It provides so many game choices for everyone. There are games available for anyone aged 2-99! So regardless of the type of game you like, you will most certainly find it in the rental store. Even the classic games are available- well most of them anyway.

- Compatibility

No matter what type of gaming console you have, you can be sure to find games that are compatible with it in the rental store. Consoles such as, Dreamcast, PlayStation, PS2, PS3, PSP, Wii, Game Boy, GB Advanced, GameCube, DS Lite Xbox 360 and Xbox are no problem for them.

- Convenience

Renting games online means you will no longer have to drive all the way to a local rental store. It also means you won’t have to stand in line at the checkout counter. The rental game will be shipped to you 2-4 days after your transaction.

- Inexpensive

A newly released video game will cost roughly around $40-$50. With that amount, you can already pay two months worth of subscription and you get unlimited rentals. The difference is obvious, isn’t it? No regrets

Let’s face it. Sometimes we buy something and regret it later on. This is true for games too. We buy one at $50 and after playing it a couple of times we realize that it’s not what we want, and wish we never bought it in the first place. Now when you are renting games online, there is a very low probability that you will end up regretting what you got and even if this would happen, you can always return it and get a new one at no additional cost.

Renting games online has become a trend, and it’s not because stores are doing nonstop advertising. Well that helps too, but the real reason why everyone is doing it is because they know it is so much better than buying. Nothing beats renting games online in terms of pricing, value for money, and convenience.

It’s as simple as that.

All About Online Casinos

Online Casinos are the best places for the modern players to play their favorite games. These places are fast becoming the destination of choice for people across the world with the main attracting factors being the anonymity and the instant access. However, that does not mean that these sites are unsafe. Far from it, they are governed by some of the strictest rules and regulations in the industry.

The anonymity extends only as far as your fellow players are concerned, the company always knows who you are. The sites are secured by tough 128-bit encryption and are constantly monitored for suspicious activities. Thus ensuring that your gaming environment is completely safe.

Another major pull factor is the vast number of games that are available at online casinos. In real life, you would have to go to a really big casino to access so many games. These large online casinos give you the benefits of a large casino wherever you are. That means you can play anytime, anywhere as long as you have a valid account with the casino.

Making an account is usually very easy and it takes only a few minutes. You choose the online casino you want to play at. Then you enter you personal details, your financial details including credit card details and you are done. You are ready to play at the casino.

Most big casinos offer you a large starting sum for free. This is their way of giving you an incentive to choose them over others. Sometimes these bonuses are low amounts like $100 or $200 but there are online casinos that will offer you bonuses of $700 to even $1000. It really depends on you which one you want to choose. Professional gamblers make the decision based on a few basic factors.

First they see if their favorite game is on offer. This is very important because it is no use gambling at games you have hardly played before. Then they look out for reliable reviews and word of mouth. It is very important to steer clear of scams at this point. If you see that the site is not secure (just look at your browser’s address bar) or seems to have loopholes, do not sign up.

Another important thing to look for is the client software. Every online casino has its own client software. This is the software through which you play your games. The software should first of all be compatible with your system and should be in a language that you understand. Then you have to look for features like different views, modes, skins, communication features and buddy list features. These can make a lot of difference to your gaming experience.

Thus in many ways online casinos are much better than physical casinos. You never have to leave the comfort of your home to get to a big casino like the ones in Las Vegas. You get all the games like poker, jackpots, keno, bingo, etc. in one place. Many online casinos also have live betting areas.

Sonic the Hedgehog- Years Back a Hedgehog was born

It was the early 1990’s and two very powerful video game companies were fighting it out in the market. They each had their advantages and disadvantages but soon one of them had a clear lead over the other. The other company did not like this at all.

These two companies were Nintendo and Sega. While Nintendo developed its enormously successful Mario Bros. games, Sega was left behind without much leverage in the market. Their Dreamcast and Genesis consoles did not do all that well in the market and ultimately they had to scrape the game consoles altogether. They might’ve gone out of business had it not been for one single game character that they developed that went one to become a huge hit.

Originally developed for the much-hated Genesis platform, Sonic the Hedgehog was meant to be a competing character that would de-throne Mario. Mario was not to be dethroned but Sonic became wildly popular on his own account. He inspired a cult following amongst gamers.

Sonic the Hedgehog games were refreshingly different from the usual crop of side-scrolling (platformer) games. The games had speed, a very unique game play and some great music. Sonic was too original to be compared with any other game. Thus he simply carved out his own niche in the market.

The first Sonic game has sold millions of copies worldwide and is still selling to this date. It is what started this cult of Sonic the Hedgehog that not has millions of followers worldwide. The subsequent games have followed the same winning formula as the first game and they have been eagerly picked up by avid gamers.

As Sega’s console business was completely given up on, they focused their resources entirely on making games. Perhaps it was a case of too many cooks spoil the broth or may be it was just a serious lack of further innovation but the Sonic games that came out later failed to shine as much as the original game. They simply weren’t good enough. Sonic 3D was very close to tanking completely and the games that came along later were not that critically acclaimed either.

Sega went in to super marketing mode. They franchised out Sonic and soon we had Sonic everything. There was a manga (Japanese Comic), a TV series, loads of merchandise and more. However, the subsequent games still failed to win any lasting love or respect from the gaming community.

But that has not stopped the sales from being quite good. No matter what the hardcore gamers have to say, they will still buy every new Sonic game that comes out. Ever since the consoles were taken over by Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo, Sega has not had any choice but to make the games available to these platforms. Perhaps the ultimate sign of changing times is Sonic the Hedgehog appearing on a Nintendo platform but the appeal seems to have remained undiminished for fans who just want to play with their favorite blue hero.

Sonic- A Blue Hedgehog who runs at Supersonic Speeds

Sonic the Hedgehog is an iconic figure who has inspired cult following amongst millions fans. His followers span the entire globe and there is nothing much that can stop them from buying every Sonic game that comes out of Sega’s haloed halls. So what is it that makes this anthropomorphic hedgehog so very famous amongst people? What makes him so very addictive?

Sonic is a fearless hero who is ever-ready to pick a fight and win it. He is dedicated to making things right on Mobius (his home planet) and will let nothing stop him from getting to the bottom of things. He has a cool impatience about him - he is forever raring to go. He has probably never stood still in his entire game life. Of course, TV series and other places not counting. Who is this hedgehog?

Sonic is the official mascot of Sega. He was built in order to rival Nintendo’s own super successful game character Mario. Sonic was named after team Sonic who conceived him and also the original game. His cobalt blue color was chosen in keeping with the cobalt blue that was Sega’s logo back then. Little do people know that before considering a hedgehog, the team considered a rabbit and also a dog.

Records show that Sonic was born at a place called Christmas islands. But he is usually seen hanging out at a place called South Island. This is the scene of most of the Sonic games including the original one.

Sonic’s main physical attributes are his blue hair/quills that point downwards, his sporty looks and red boots. Many people do not know that the red boots were added later as a tribute to Santa Clause. Originally, Sonic was much more cartoon like and was drawn in a rounder fashion. Later, he went through an image makeover and the modern slim trim Sonic was born.

Due to his Japanese origins, much of Sonic’s original lore is in Japanese. Those who are familiar with Japanese styles of Mangas and Animes will realize that Sonic’s character bears some influences of those styles. Sonic was originally planned with many supporting characters but only a few made it through to the final release. There was even a human girl who looked like Va Vavoom from Loony Tunes but she was later scrapped. Leaving Dr. Robotnik AKA Egghead as the only human character within the games.

Sonic’s main ‘power’ is his speed. He justifies his name with his signature speed and impatience. The games are designed in such a way that you will never be able to get anywhere without building up enough speed and momentum. Sonic’s signature spin dash move was actually added in the 2nd game of the series but it was added in to the first game at a later date.

The game designers did not know that hedgehogs could swim so Sonic has never been able to swim. Other than he is a pretty strong character.

Sonic the Hedgehog- In 3D and on the XBOX 360

To many gamers, Sonic the Hedgehog’s coming to the XBOX 360 was initially like a match made in heaven. With the XBOX’s power and Sonic’s popularity, there was nothing that could go wrong. The game franchise has been loved to death by many people and you will find gamers of all ages addicted to this game. It is like this amazing addiction amongst gamers that never goes away and knows no age limit.

However, when the gamers finally go to try out the XBOX 360 game they were a bit disappointed. The game was not ported to the new technology very well and the stress was showing at the seams. Here was a game that was developed for a 2D environment and now it was in 3D and on a cutting edge platform. The adaptation had not gone very smoothly.

In trying to keep Sonic true to his roots, Sega had tried to keep everything as untouched as possible. So it was almost like they took the 2D Sonic and made him in to a 3D version of himself. However, it was not like gamers were too disappointed to play. To avid fans and gamers, the benefits far outweighed the shortcomings.

The pleasure of seeing Sonic in 3D was something that gamers simply could not get enough of. The rich visuals were keeping them addicted as Sonic traversed through landscapes at blurring speeds. That would’ve been enough but the new Sonic was also made to be more aggressive. He had new moves like the spinning kick and other spinning attacks. Watching him demolish the enemies with his signature spindash move in complete 3D was enough for most gamers to go and buy the game. In this game, Sonic got an extra life if he could destroy a lot of baddies all in one go.

The gameplay was challenging though. The controls were far from simple and the third dimension added a lot of unforeseen complexities and difficulties. The game involved Sonic traveling over different terrains in different vehicles. There was the buggy like vehicle that was fitted with machine guns and also a hang-glider and a hovercraft.

The storyline was interesting and fun to play. The entire game was played in three parts within one main character in each part. So it started with Sonic, then came Shadow the Hedgehog and then a brand new character was introduced to the game - Silver the Hedgehog. Silver has a new ability - he can pick and throw objects at his enemies. He is slower than Sonic but he is able to travel over a greater distance than Sonic, which is a very interesting addition.

All the new additions to the game are almost destroyed by the pathetically slow load times. The camera angles are also not up to the mark and definitely need some tweaking.

Even through all that, the game is able to hold its own within a tough and demanding market.

Top Football Betting Tips

Like any other wagering, football betting is not for everybody. Some take it lightly and others obsess over it. Whatever people do, they are playing with real money. So it will suffice to say that exercising common sense and self-control are pre-requisites to any kinds of betting. Here are some tips that will help you along the way and make things easier: -

1. If you are betting, make sure that you are betting with money that you can afford to lose. That means you should not bet with rent money or money that should rightfully go to mortgage payments. If you are betting, bet responsibly.

Football is an exciting game and its fans are really passionate about the entire process of the game. You may be an avid football fan and have your favorites. But when it comes to betting you have to let go of those emotions unless you want to lose a lot of money. Betting is about numbers and odds and who is more likely to win. If you blindly bet on a hunch or a favorite, chances are that you will lose a lot of money.

2. Understand what you are doing before you do it. You are likely to have a lot of people around you preaching different theories and strategies. They might sound really impressive and convincing depending on how well they speak. But you should not follow their theories without understanding what you are doing. It might look like they are winning all the time but you must understand that they know what they are doing. If you really want to do what they do, you have to read up on betting.

Hence, you have to learn how to place a bet and how the odds work. You must know what the bookies mean when they give all those numbers. Most of all, you have to know how hard it is to predict who’s going to win. Trust me on this one - if someone was so good at predicting winners, he would not be trying to advise people. He’d be too rich to care.

3. Do the research and do not bet blind folded. If you do not know about a game, do not bet on it. You have to know your teams inside out before you can bet on them. There are just too many things to consider like injuries, disciplinary action, game conditions, etc. You have to ‘watch and learn’ your way to winning.

4. Do not fall for scams. There are a lot of scams in the betting industry. Do not believe for one minute that someone can get you the winning prediction every time for $20. As I said, if these people were that good, they’d be too rich to care.

5. Long shots are exactly that - long shots. Bookies are not stupid and they will not give you 50/1 just like that. They do win but it is pretty rare.

All in all, keep a close watch on the number and always bet with your head.

Football Handicapping Tips

Handicapping in football is the art of adjustment and being dynamic about it. Football handicapping is not for the faint of heart and yet people can get really stubborn about one particular strategy that seems to work. However, time and again we have seen successful handicapping systems laying a complete waste. So what makes them tick when they do and why do they stop working when they do?

Handicapping strategies are systems that are bound to fail from their very inception. No, it is not a conspiracy against bettors by the bookies. It is simple logic and common sense once you think about it.

Football is as organic a game as ever and just like everything organic - it changes. Star players retire, coaches change, team strategies change - basically everything changes. So in a game that changes so often, how can you expect a fixed system to last you long? Thus these systems may be great when they start but do know that they will fail eventually.

The best thing that you can do to save your money is tweak the system to suit the present. The past is past and it will never come back. If it did, betting wouldn’t exist. So all you can do is learn from your mistakes and move on.

Successful handicapping comes from understanding and analyzing information. You have to constantly look through all the data that you can manage to find. There is no substitute for hardcore research. No analyst can tell you what you can dig up yourself.

You should have all the stats at your fingertips before you start handicapping. So you have to know about all the scores, averages, histories, player changes, injuries, trends, weather conditions, everything. Unless you can dedicate yourself to this research, you can never expect to make any money at all.

If you are in it for the fun, you have pay dearly for having your fun.

Getting good numbers is crucial for successful handicapping but getting them can be tough. With so many sportsbooks around, you have to know which ones are the trustworthy ones. Keep yourself updated at all times because even a 1/2 difference can cost you the win.

Do not look at the records of the teams. Instead look at how they have done against the spreads. Only a fool thinks that the best performing team has been the best money making team. Sometimes, it is the team that does miserably that makes bettors the largest sums of money. So when you tally records, tally them against the spreads that were offered at the time.

Do not get emotional about betting. Betting is all about numbers and probabilities. There is no place for emotions here. If your favorite team is very unlikely to win, losing your money while they lose the game will not make you feel any better.

Also, be quick to recover from a loss and learn from every mistake. Learn from every correct decision you take.

Rune Gold - I Made $10,000 Rune Gold Free in 15 Minutes! You Wanna Know How?

Let’s face it, money is power, and the same goes for gaming. When you have money inside the game, you have the power to buy yourself the best equipment there is and make it easier for your character or avatar to gain the levels you want it to gain. While gaining levels is one of the main reasons for you to play Runescape and fighting monsters is one of the main ways for you to gain experience to level up, Rune gold farming and using this gold to help make your avatar stronger is another one of the goals you may have to do as well. Farming Rune gold is easy if you have the ways and the means to do so, and while a lot of older players already know how to do this, the newer ones struggle and find it difficult to become the powerful avatar they want to be. Here are a few tricks and tips you might or might not want to use to get your hands on Rune gold:

Farming and Questing

One of the surefire ways for you to earn Rune gold is to do it the usual way and that is to farm it and to do quests to get the gold you need.

Farming. How you farm in the game is essentially to go out and kill monster after monster after monster and gathering up the gold that they drop. This is a similar activity that happens in almost all MMORPGs and is one of the easiest and surest ways to get gold inside the game. Of course, to make things easier for you and your character, you should try and get your character equipped properly and with the best possible equipment you can slowly put together for it. The sooner you get your character properly equipped, the more monsters you can slay in a shorter period of time and the more gold you can make. The upside to farming is you not only gain Rune gold, you gain levels as you farm.

Questing. This next step is basically just repeating certain tasks that NPCs, or non-player characters, ask you to accomplish. This may include slaying a certain number of monsters and reporting to him after the task is done for a reward or delivering items to other NPCs and returning to him once it is done for the Rune gold reward. There are also tasks that may involve finding people, lifting stuff, solving puzzles, and other similar activities. Try to find easy-to-do, repetitive quests and make a small fortune in Rune gold by just doing it over and over again.

Doing Business

Some players who are smart enough to figure out that a little effort can help make them some much-needed Rune gold inside the game often come up with business ideas to use inside the game. Aside from farming, they engage in the buying and selling of materials that some players are too lazy or too preoccupied to get themselves at cheaper prices outside of the main world. You can buy and sell items a lower prices as compared to what others sell in the main area of the game and make a huge amount of Rune gold just by going out of your way to get these for cheaper prices elsewhere.

FREE GOLD, The SECRET

Everybody likes free stuff, and free gold is no exception and one of the secrets to getting free gold in Runescape is to go to a website called Who Wants Gold. It is a unique site that caters to Rune newbies and gives you 10,000 Rune Gold in exchange for filling out free , no obligation offers. Stepping Into the World of Online Casinos

If you are looking to start a new hobby, perhaps online casinos can provide you with hours and hours of entertainment. However, if you are just starting out, remember to tread with caution and do your research first. There are a few areas you should look into before betting with real cash.

Online casino reviews.

Reading online reviews allow you to achieve two things. First, you get exposed to the negative and positive aspects of the casino. You immediately form an impression of the organization. If you see something you don’t like, be sure to conduct more research or simply check out other gambling sites. The most important to look out for is reliability.

Secondly, you get to read about the pros and cons of starting an account with the gambling site. Important information like payment details, payment schedule, and reliability of software will help you make better decisions.

On-going promotions.

Like all gambling games, there is always a certain amount of risk involved. In order to minimize this risk, it is best to check out some promotional offers to see if you can get some free bonuses just for starting a new account. Many Companies do offer attractive bonuses in an attempt to acquire new customers. Of course, they have to verify that you are a serious customer. Therefore, in most cases, a minimum deposit is required before the bonus can be applied to your account.

Background information of the various games.

An online casino usually offers a wide variety of games. These can range from card games (which may require patience) to dice games (which is more fast moving). Start by picking a few games that you are interested in and check out the various online casinos to see if these games are available.

If you are not familiar with the games, you can always check out the rules on review sites or on the official website itself. Usually, when you are just starting out, you may be trying to grasp the rules of the game and make a few bad decisions. That’s why the free bonuses are important. They help you familiarize with the game so that you don’t lose money upfront before you even get to know the game!

Software reliability.

The back bone of an online casino is its software. Everything runs on the software. If winnings or losses are not credited or debited to your account, you may face some unwanted problems. Check out what other players are saying about the software. Is the software being developed on a stable platform?

When real cash is involved, stability is everything. In fact, some online casinos even pride themselves as using similar platforms as banks! Indeed, they should. Because just like banks, they deal with a large amount of money on a daily basis. The security and stability must be there.

Online casinos are convenient virtual outlets for entertainment. Indulge in it as much as you like, but only stake what you can afford to lose. Don’t let gambling become a bad habit. You have to remind yourself that you are playing for entertainment only.
